Democracy on the Brinks: Democratic crises, Authoritarian Threats and Collective Resistance

On November 17, the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna will host a study day devoted to democratic backsliding and the forms of collective resistance emerging in authoritarian and wartime contexts. 

The event, organized within the framework of the European project RE-ENGAGE, brings together scholars from international universities and research centers to discuss the contemporary challenges to democracy in Georgia and Ukraine, and to reflect on the role of academic activism and civil society in times of democratic crisis.
